Maragheh Healthy and Safe City Plan (MHSCP) Secretariat has launched the MHSCP think tank in order to create a platform for the discussion of opinion leaders, academic members and researchers about the sustainable development of the city's health.

The think tank is an institution with a coherent set of higher education centers that proceed with a coordinated and regular movement towards the production and aggregation of evidence to answer and deal with issues and challenges in order to complete the policy cycle in a specialized manner and in interaction with universities and educational and research centers.

Synergy and cooperation between "Healthy City" program and "Thinking Center" is a creative idea that was proposed for the first time at the national level in the Secretariat of MHSCP and is considered a new and innovative action at the level of the international network of healthy cities.

Maragheh, as one of the leading cities in the implementation of the healthy city program in the country, which is on the way to obtaining the international certificate of healthy cities from the World Health Organization, intends to create a platform for the participation of experts and academic members by forming this think tank and to provide health researchers and the social, economic, cultural determinants of health in the implementation of this program.

According to Dr. Sedigheh Salavati, a member of the academic staff of the Maragheh University of Medical Sciences and the secretary of the MHSCP; This think tank, together with the secretariat, is ready to provide the necessary technical and scientific support for other cities in the country that are interested in starting and continuing the Healthy City Program. Also, MHSCP think tank is proud to interact and collaborate with the management research center of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences and receive necessary advice from this center, and also we invites researchers and experts from other scientific societies of the country to join us in the think tank.
