The meeting of the policy-making council of Maragheh Healthy City Plan was held under the chairmanship of governor of Maragheh city, Dr. Dawood Asdian on september 17.

In this meeting, Dr. Asdian emphasized the necessity of convergence and cooperation between various organizations and the importance of the serious determination of the committees in the success of the Maragheh healthy city plan. Also, he considered it necessary to pay attention to mental health and social health in addition to physical health and stated that in building a healthy and safe city, the general public should play a role and a healthy and safe city should become a social demand.

Mrs. Mina Galipour, political security director of Maragheh governorate, who was present in this meeting, explained the governor's high supervision mechanism on the performance of the committees and asked the heads of the committees to report their actions at specified times to the Secretariat of the Maragheh healthy city plan and the governor deputy.

Dr. Al-Havirdi Arjamand, the head of the Faculty of Medical Sciences and the head of the Health Development and Healthy Lifestyle Committee, pointed out the valuable role of the Health Deputy as the secretary of this committee in achieving the goals of the Healthy City Program, and the implementation of health-oriented operational programs by the Health Deputy is a strong point in achieving the goals of the Maragheh healthy city plan.

Colonel Saeidollah Ezzati, the head of the traffic police and the head of the accident and traffic accident committee, pointed to the serious determination of the member organizations of this committee in implementing interventions related to the reduction and prevention of traffic accidents and accidents.

  Mr. Hossein Sanei, the head of the welfare department and the head of the social harm reduction and prevention committee of Maragheh healthy city plan, announced the preparation of operational plans for the second six months of the current year by the member organizations of this committee.

  Mr. Anvrian, Vice President of Education of Maragheh, who was present at the meeting on behalf of the Director of Education and the Chairman of the Safe and Healthy Schools Committee, announced the completion of the preparation and the start of the implementation of the programs for the second six months of the current year by the member organizations of the committee.

Dr. Shahram Marvotti, mayor of Maragheh and head of the safe and healthy public places committee, while presenting a summary report of the municipality's actions regarding the sanitation of public places, stated that the compilation of the programs of this committee with the participation of member organizations is seriously on the agenda of the municipality.

Dr. Ibrahim Khoshraftar, head of Maragheh Islamic Council, while announcing the council's support for the goals and programs of Maragheh healthy city plan, emphasized on the capacity of cultural centers of Maragheh city in advancing the goals of the program and the necessity of presenting the Maragheh healthy city plan on cultural and social occasions of the city, including Maragheh day.

It should be mentioned that in this meeting, the honorable president of the House of People's Participation in Health of Maragheh city, Mr. Ashegvatan and the representative of Fars News Agency were also present.

Dr. Sedigheh Salavati, Secretary of the Maragheh healthy city plan stated in this meeting that the 80 criteria of the healthy city program have already been reviewed during a meeting in each of the committees and the contribution of each committee in providing these criteria has been determined. During this meeting, the criteria related to each committee were communicated to the heads of the committees.

At the end of this meeting, the heads of the six committees of theMaragheh healthy city plan were renewed and presented, and it was decided that the secretary of each committee would be appointed by the head of the committee.

It should be mentioned that the Secretary of the Health and Healthy Lifestyle Development Committee of the Maragheh healthy city plan is responsible for the important role of the Health Vice-Chancellor of the university of Medical Sciences, and his notification was presented by the dean of the Maragheh University of Medical Sciences after the meeting.
