The Committee for Dealing with Disasters and Crises of the Maragheh Healthy and Safe City Plan prepares action plans every year with an interdisciplinary approach and the participation of all members of this committee and strives to implement them.

 These programs in 2023 mainly focused on training programs to deal with hazards, first aid training, holding and hosting provincial and national training courses, conducting earthquake and other hazard drills, increasing the quality and quantity of facilities and equipment to deal with crises and hazards.

The chairmanship of the Committee is under the responsibility of the Maragheh Red Crescent Society and the members of the committee include experts from the Governorate, Electricity Company, Gas Company, Water and Sewerage Company, Telecommunications, Health Department of Maragheh University of Medical Sciences, Emergency Pre-Hospital Department, Education deputy, Municipal Fire Department, Police Command, and Road and Urban Development Department.
